AIMM Partners - Apexus

One of AIMM’s earliest and most steadfast partners is Apexus, the non-profit contractor that works with more than 29,000 health care providers across the U.S. to lower their costs for purchasing outpatient pharmaceutical products, allowing them to stretch their resources to serve more low-income and uninsured patients. As the exclusive contractor for the 340B Drug Pricing Program, managed by the Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA), Apexus negotiates significant discounts for branded and generic pharmaceuticals while working with providers to help them comply with 340B regulations and guidance. Apexus works closely with HRSA’s Office of Pharmacy Affairs to improve the integrity of the 340B program.

The 340B program was the common ground initially for Apexus and AIMM, and while many teams still have a 340B connection, the work of Apexus complements AIMM’s goals, and the 340B entities Apexus serves are central to the entire collaborative process since they are the ones serving the safety-net providers; they can benefit from the collaborative approach; and that ultimately benefits the community. Apexus continues to play an active role in supporting AIMM and its initiatives. Most recently, Apexus provided support to 50 340B Prime Vendor partner organizations to participate in the AIMM Collaborative.
